Halfway to RAE2! (aka, RAE leg #15)
Today Quigley and I went to the Great Western Terrier obedience and rally trial. What a fun show – terriers all over, and great vendors!
Watched a cute Bull Terrier run in Utility A, and while the team didn’t qualify, the dog clearly had fun.
We didn’t qualify in our first-ever run in AKC Open A, but had a very nice run nevertheless. I’m pleased with the outcome, we just need some more work before we try again. I was so flattered about the compliment I got from the judge on my handling. Inwardly I was falling apart with nervousness.
Rally was nice though, 2nd place in Excellent (93) and 4th place in Advanced (90), and we are now half-way to our RAE2.
Thought of the day: I notice in Obedience how much Rally has helped us as far as ring experience is concerned.Getting that ILP on Quigley so we could do AKC rally was the best thing ever – other venues might have better rally programs, but AKC offers the most events.
