This weekend’s Rally update: RAE legs #23 and #24
Saturday:
Quigley was especially amped up and bouncy, we had a few fits and starts, including a bungled back-up-3-steps that cost us 10 points in Excellent, some lagging and sniffing, and a typical “terrier moment” where it took several commands to get Quigley to sit at the first stationary exercise. We came home with one 3rd and one 2nd place.
Sunday:
Quigley was much calmer today and we had two very nice runs with a judge I didn’t really think I wanted to show under again, after a somewhat
unpleasant Obedience run 2 years ago. I’m glad I gave him a second chance because he really was a different person today and scored very fairly.

In our Excellent run Quigley did his Back-up-3-steps so perfectly today that several spectators complimented us on it. I was so excited about this, after he didn’t do it properly at all yesterday. Today’s Advanced run was only the second time ever so far that we won a tie for points by time.
The venue was really, really nice too, I’m looking forward to the next show there.
To sum it up: It’s days like today where I want to say “I wish I could do this every weekend”!
