\"\"We went back to Santa Barbara today, for the second day of the show. Overall our performance was a little bit sloppier than yesterday (Quigley missed two sits – one on the heel free, one at the finish after the recall – and his heeling wasn’t quite as nice as yesterday), and today’s judge was also more strict, but he stayed put on the sit\/stay and we qualified!<\/p>\n

So with a score of 186 we got our AKC CD, and a 1st place. Needless to say, I’m still totally beside myself and so proud of my little guy. It was terribly hot again today. That’s the reason I was wearing this unflattering shirt – I wanted something airy. It was a good thing I decided to leave later today, so we didn’t have to sit around in the heat for as long as yesterday. We had a nice, shady spot to hang out, too, but still.<\/p>\n
