\"\"Day 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Got to the show venue (the grounds of a hotel) at about 7.15 am and just after I was done setting up my EZ-Up, it started to rain. It stopped after about 15 minutes, but left everything kind of soggy and humid. Not fun.<\/p>\n

We had our obedience run at approx. 8.30 am, heeling was decent, Quigley didn’t down on the drop on recall though, barreled into me\/jumped up both times on his return with the dumbbell, cut the corner on the broad jump and went down on the group sit. None of the Open dogs qualified though, so I don’t feel that bad.<\/p>\n

Since he did so poorly in rally after obedience last Sunday and it was just about as hot today, I didn’t expect much – but he really surprised me. We got a 98 in RO2 (3rd place) and a 94 in RO3 (5th), bringing our UROC tally to 20 points: 1\/5 of the way there, yay! This certainly makes up for no points at all in the 6 runs last weekend.<\/p>\n

Day 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Obedience first thing in the morning again. We had decent heeling (not great, but decent, 12 points deducted on Heel Free & Figure 8 exercises together), a nice drop on recall (with 2 points off for an anticipated finish, a perfect retrieve on flat, an almost-perfect retrieve over the high jump (1\/2 point off for a crooked front), and a nice broad jump that I sadly messed up – by doing it on the wrong side!!! 10 points off for handler error.<\/p>\n

The Honor down was perfect too, but unfortunately he went down from the sit 15 seconds after I had left the ring to go out of sight. Ah well, we’ll keep trying!<\/p>\n

Rally level 2 was a nice run with a few minor deductions, so we got a 94. After that Quigley decided that he was done for the day and didn’t cooperate in level 3, so I had us excused about 2\/3 of the way through.<\/p>\n
