\"\"6 months and 28 days after our RAE3, Quigley and I completed our RAE4 today. To the best of my knowledge he is the first Parson Russell Terrier to qualify for this title.<\/p>\n

Our scores weren’t stellar, an 87 in Excellent and 84 in Advanced, yet we once again ended up just outside the placements. Many dogs NQ’ed and almost all of them were very distracted.<\/p>\n

Unless we are really desperate for ranking points, I will not show at Seaside Park in Ventura again except if the obedience and rally rings are indoors, like for\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 the Winterfest the last two years.<\/p>\n

The grounds were incredibly disgusting again, with everything reeking of pee and the entire grassy area strewn with small pieces of trash that were not cleaned up properly after the 4th of July picnic. Add to that very little space for set-ups near the obedience\/rally rings and no shade (either give people enough room for EZ-Ups, or at least put up a courtesy tent).<\/p>\n

It’s disappointing to see what little is provided at many big all-breed shows for those of us who do obedience and rally. After all, we pay the same entry fees as the conformation people, who get the nice, clean buildings with A\/C and good flooring, where you don’t have to set up in the middle of dog pee stink.<\/p>\n

What a shame, since the location right next to the beach is fantastic and I wouldn’t mind showing more than one day out of the cluster.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
