It was great to see many folks I usually run into at various AKC shows. ASCA has such a nice rally program, I’m thrilled to see it grow so much.<\/p>\n
For the very first time I also had the opportunity to watch a Rally Masters class, and I can’t wait until we can compete at that level! (Do you hear me, AKC? Want to make more money and have more entries, give us a Rally Masters class and some new high-level titles to work for!)<\/p>\n
Quigley and I had a good time, even though it was a long day (we set out at home at 6.45 am and finally left the trial site at 5.30 pm). Our scores were 197 out of 200 for both runs. In our first run we only had one 3-point deduction for a re-try of a station, which was really my mistake because I was too distracted paying attention to the leash. In our second run we had three one-point deductions, one for a tight leash (Quigley wanted to visit his best friend Carnegie, who was honoring for our run), one for me slightly touching a sign where things were a bit tight, and one for Quigley bumping into me.<\/p>\n
I couldn’t be happier with these results. The first run of the day completed our RN-X title (requires 3 scores of 195 or better under 2 different judges in any class division, A, B or C) with all 3 scores being 197. Since Quigley and I were in the C division, these 3 scores also concurrently count toward our RN-C, for which the title requirement is 5 scores of 190 or better, which must be earned in the C division under 3 different judges. The afternoon run was “C leg” number four, and Quigley was also “high scoring other breed” in this trial.<\/p>\n
Now we only need one more score of 190 or better, then we can move up to Advanced and get rid of that silly leash again!<\/p>\n
